Each year, more than 60,000 FFA members, advisors, and guests gather to learn about careers in the agriculture industry, compete for scholarships, volunteer in the community and shape the future of the National FFA Organization.  This would not be possible without the support of our volunteers.

• Examples of volunteer shifts available and their descriptions are listed below.

Career Success Tour Host- Tour hosts will accompany FFA students and advisors to one of the tour sites within an hour drive of the Indiana Convention Center. Tour hosts will ride the bus to and from the tour site and account for all students and advisors. Tour host will distribute and collect evaluation forms on the return bus ride. Tour Sites include: Beck’s Hybrids, Center for Urban Ecology (CUE) at Butler University, Chef JJ’s Downtown, Chip Ganassi Racing, Conner Prairie, Dow AgroSciences, Elanco, Evan Whispering Pines Christmas Tree Farm, Exotic Feline Rescue Center, Fair Oaks Farms, Hilltop Orchids, Indiana Veneer, Lawson Land & Cattle Company, Ozark Fisheries, Victory Field, Vine and Branch and Salsbery Brothers Landscaping, etc.

FFA Mega Store- Volunteers will be expected to interact with customers in the FFA Mega Store by answering general questions related to product location, register location, restroom location and finding a clothing size. Specific product knowledge is not required. Volunteers should be prepared to be on their feet for long periods of time and potentially help carry and restock inventory. Responsibilities could also include maintaining the neatness of the merchandise area, bagging merchandise and greeting customers.

Event Hotel Greeters–  Crowne Plaza, Embassy Suites, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, JW Marriott, Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, Omni Severin, Westin - Volunteers demonstrate our Hoosier Hospitality and will serve as a "concierge/welcome" staff at select official FFA convention event hotels; located in downtown Indianapolis. Volunteers will assist in providing general city information, giving directions, recommending local restaurants and attractions, etc. Binders with information about the convention and Indianapolis will be available to volunteers to use as a reference.

National Days of Service – Transportation Leads- National Days of Service (NDoS) is an educational opportunity where students learn the importance of giving back through community related service projects. Transportation leads will ride the bus with students and advisors to and from a service site and account for all participants. Transportation lead volunteers will oversee the survey evaluation process on the return bus ride. This is a great opportunity to visit and serve with students from all over the nation!
